Reflections during a forum discussion on financial struggle and gratitude

In my view there is something your higher self wants you to learn from the type of financial struggle you are experiencing.

I know it sounds callous or maybe even mocking, but my suggestion is to find a way to fully accept and be grateful for the struggle you have been experiencing.

"If something happens to you it happens for you" is something I genuinely believe, even including the most excruciating experiences of our lives.

I find that once you begin to understand and trust that your higher self will always make certain that you have everything you need in order to do whatever you are on Earth to do then you become free to stop worrying about things you can't control.

No one seems to be exempt from experiencing serious, deep, indelible pain in life.

It kinda seems like our souls maybe even came here for the express purpose of experiencing pain. Pain is so ubiquitous. But pain is adversity and adversity makes us stronger.

Try to trust in your higher self.

Everything will pass, in time.

Whatever you feel like is important today will change as time goes on. Try not to be too attached to any of your preferences in life, regardless of whether you get “your way” in some matter.

It’s guaranteed we will experience crushingly painful events in our lives, but the earlier we adopt unreserved acceptance of the things we cannot change the earlier we stop stretching our unavoidable pain into avoidable suffering.

Once you find a way to genuinely embrace the painful experiences you have had (and those you will have) then you will start to vibrate at a frequency of gratitude, which in turn radiates the energy of abundance you want to cultivate.

Gratitude is one of my favorite feelings in the world. Those times when you are overcome with gratitude are fantastic! But those overwhelming bouts of gratitude don't happen every day. So we have to continually find things to be grateful for. Try looking around and finding things to be grateful for. Spend a day writing down everything you can think of to be thankful for. As you go through the day you will have both positive and negative encounters with others. If you are engaged in finding things to be grateful for then you will be actively focusing on "good" which will distract you from the things that bring you down. By the way, thank you for reading, Friend. You ARE a Gift to the Universe!
